Blinded by the Drunk
After all that traffic and finding overpriced parking, I could finally see the House of Blues Dallas sign come into view. I am seriously so stoked that I am even here being to be able to watch young and talented violinist Lindsey Stirling perform during her very first tour.
Not surprised, I found that the venue smelled of alcohol and smoke, this place wasn’t really made for kids like me to be around, but I didn’t mind. Finding a spot at was a bit frustrating considering there were people constantly in my way. Why people were already getting tipsy and drunk, I had know idea. The opening act was already starting and quickly tried to find a decent place to stand.
It was only seven o'clock and Lindsey wasn't set to perform until eight. Don't get me wrong, the opening act was great, but they weren't the ones I was there for. I mean just imagine watching an unknown music artist from YouTube videos and finally see her live her dream in concert. I couldn't even believe I was here, waiting for violinist Lindsey Stirling to come out and rock the stage.
I only measured a mere five foot image and before it could be stopped, this tall drunk man blinded my view of the stage. I will never understand why adults will drink during concerts. Even though I was just a kid, I was not going to let this go by unresolved, especially not when Lindsey was minutes away from performing. As I struggled to get the attention of Mr.Giant, I had also gotten the attention of one of the security guards. Great, now i'll have to face another problem. The guard came up to me and said, "Miss, is there a problem here?"
"Well yes sir, I can't see the stage and I'm trying to get this man to move aside a little.” I said.
"Well miss if that was the problem, let me help you." he said reassuringly. Before I could respond, the guard was clearing a small path so that I could walk through. In shock, I found myself right in front of the stage. I turned and gave a sincere thank you to the guard, this just reminded me that there are very kind people in our world. I got situated and just in time the concert was starting. Everything became surreal at that moment, all the content I have watched on Lindsey's YouTube channel was coming to life before my eyes.

Research Connections
The narrative essay is told by my point of view because I want my readers to know how a fan of Lindsey Stirling feels and experiences when going to a Lindsey Stirling concert. Not much research was looked into for this, just the personal review of myself and my experience during the concert.
